Introducing the new mobile Tilt-Down Flexible Screw Conveyor System, designed for maximum versatility and convenience. Mounted on a portable base, this system features a multi-purpose hood and an integral dust collector for efficient material handling and dust management in industrial settings.
Key Features:
- Bulk Bag Discharging: For discharging bulk bags, the forklift or plant hoist is used to suspend the bag above the dust hood. The bag spout is cinched by an iris valve, untied, and then released gradually to avoid uncontrolled bursts of material. For smaller handheld sacks, they can be placed on a fold-down support tray, slit open, and manually dumped into the hopper.
- Integrated Dust Collection: Airborne dust generated during discharging is drawn away from the operator’s area by a side-mounted BAG-VAC dust collector, which is vented directly from the dust hood. The system features reverse-pulse air jets on a timed cycle to clear accumulated dust from the filter surfaces, which is then collected at the bottom of the dust collector for easy removal.
- Specialized Stainless-Steel Screw: The system is equipped with an inner stainless-steel screw designed to efficiently move both free- and non-free-flowing bulk materials, ensuring smooth material handling.
- Portability and Flexibility: The support boom and conveyor assembly can be tilted down, allowing the system to easily maneuver through standard doorways, aisles, and corners. This makes it adaptable to a wide range of plant layouts and easy to use in any area of the facility.
- Simplified Cleaning and Maintenance: When fully lowered, the tilt-down mechanism raises the conveyor tube’s clean-out cap off the plant floor, bringing the discharge point closer to the floor. This design allows for easier removal and reinsertion of the flexible screw, making cleaning and inspection more efficient and ergonomic.
